Bristol & Anchor Almshouse Charity
Almshouses are charitable housing provided to enable people (typically elderly people who can no longer work to earn enough to pay private rent, or who live in insecure accommodation) to live in a particular community.
Bristol & Anchor Almshouse Charity offers lifetime accommodation to older people in Bristol, who are in need of safe and secure housing. Housing is allocated by level of need and is decided by a panel of Trustees. Our Almshouses are in St. George, behind the Beehive Centre and overlooking the beautiful St. George Park.
If you are interested in being added to the waiting list to become a beneficiary at Bristol & Anchor Almshouse, please either call us at the Beehive Centre or pop in to pick up an application form. You need to be over 55 years old and able to live independently. We have 8 one-bedroom room cottages and 14 two-bedroom flats.
